When Jeannie was wheeling the bed into the O.R., I told her I was scared this time because the anesthetic had worn off last time and I was awake through the entire procedure, which was why I was giving them so much trouble. She was so upset. She apologized profusely and promised that she would not let that happen this time. Her word was good. I slept like a baby. In fact, I was walking into walls all afternoon, and slept most of yesterday and today.
He still couldn't get into my stomach. the opening is swollen too small. But he is pretty sure that I have an ulcer. Not the kind with the virus, but an erosion, from the acids. So we're going to try chemo, to see if that will work. If it doesn't, I suppose he may consider an exploratory, which would be really bad timing, with going back to school next month. So, for now, it's doubling upon the Prevacid, and a run of Reglan.
Hopefully, I'll be back awake and running tomorrow. I am really borning myself.
